The 41st Hospital Engineering Congress exceeds all expectations with more than 1,800 attendees

The 41st Hospital Engineering Seminar, held in Seville on October 23, 24 and 25, was a resounding success, exceeding all expectations with more than 1,800 specialists attending, almost half a thousand more than expected. This national event, a reference in the sector, has had a scientific and technical program of the highest level, with the participation of experts of recognized prestige both nationally and internationally.

This year, Tedisel, once again, has been an official sponsor of the event, reinforcing its commitment to innovation in the field of hospital engineering. In addition, we have had an outstanding presence in two stands, in collaboration with Dimoclin and MedicipHealth where we have been able to present our technical panel solutions and novelties in headboards to the attendees.

The event, which took place in Fibes, the most innovative district of Seville, is known for being a space that drives large projects and promotes research and development in various areas. In this edition, topics of maximum relevance for the sector were addressed, such as biomedical engineering, artificial intelligence, sustainability, energy efficiency, and air quality and environmental safety, among others.

The 41st Hospital Engineering Seminar, held in Seville on October 23, 24 and 25, was a resounding success, exceeding all expectations with more than 1,800 specialists attending, almost half a thousand more than expected

Relevant Topics at the Seminar

During the seminar, a series of topics of maximum relevance to the sector were addressed, reflecting the current trends and challenges facing hospital engineering.

1. Biomedical Engineering
Biomedical engineering is a constantly evolving field that seeks to integrate engineering principles with biomedical sciences to improve healthcare. During the event, the latest advances in medical devices, diagnostic technology and innovative therapies that are revolutionizing the way patient care is provided were discussed. Lectures focused on how biomedical engineering can optimize clinical processes and improve health outcomes.

2. Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the healthcare landscape by offering solutions that can analyze large volumes of data, optimize workflow and personalize patient treatment. The seminar explored the applications of AI in early disease diagnosis, hospital resource management and clinical outcome prediction, as well as the ethical and technical challenges associated with its implementation.

3. Sustainability and Energy Efficiency
Sustainability has become a fundamental principle in all sectors, including healthcare. Participants discussed strategies for designing and operating hospitals that not only minimize their environmental impact, but also reduce operating costs. Case studies were presented on the implementation of renewable energy technologies, waste management systems and sustainable construction practices that enable healthcare facilities to be more environmentally responsible.

4.  Air Quality and Environmental Safety
Air quality and environmental safety are critical issues, especially in the context of the recent pandemic. During the event, best practices for ensuring a safe hospital environment were discussed, from adequate ventilation to the use of technologies that monitor and improve indoor air quality. The discussion also included the impact of air pollution on public health and how healthcare facilities can contribute to improving air quality in their communities.

The seminar’s Scientific Committee reserved a space within the official program for the participation of professionals and companies from the sector, who were able to share their knowledge and experiences on hospital engineering and sanitary architecture.

As for the thematic areas addressed at the event, eight major blocks of interest have been highlighted:

  1. Blue Economy
  2. Engineering services and management systems
  3. Biomedical engineering
  4. Artificial intelligence
  5. Healthcare architecture
  6. Sustainability, energy efficiency and environment
  7. Air quality and environmental safety
  8. Medical gases

This seminar has not only been a meeting point for professionals in the sector, but also a platform for the exchange of ideas and the promotion of solutions to improve the management and development of healthcare infrastructures.

The success of the event confirms the growing importance of hospital engineering in Spain, and the firm commitment of companies like Tedisel Medical to lead this field with innovation and excellence.
